Cost-effectiveness analyses

KSR's team of Health Economists have many years’ experience devising and undertaking cost-effectiveness analyses (CEAs) for a wide variety of commissioners/funding bodies, including the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the UK Medical Research Council and the pharmaceutical industry.

We have expertise in the development of decision analytical models using both cohort simulation and individual patient sampling assembled on a variety of platforms including Excel and TreeAge. We also have experience of utilising a range of expertise from individual clinicians to guideline development groups in order to produce both a model structure that best reflects clinical practice as well as parameter estimates that use the best available evidence. All of our methods take appropriate account of the latest methods guidance, both local such as that by NICE as well as in academic publications.

We can offer training and advice on any aspect of the process of reviewing and conducting CEAs in order to meet the reporting standards for academic publication and submission for health technology assessment.
